Hofer diaphragm compressors provide a lubricant and abrasion-free compression of gases and gas mixtures.

Since they operate without leakage, they are particularly suitable for gases of highest purity as well as explosive, toxic and expensive gases. Hofer diaphragm compressors ensure a reliable compression of various gases such as hydrogen, helium, argon, ethylene, fluorine, hydrogen sulphide, chlorine, monosilane or nitrogen trifluoride.

Hofer diaphragm compressors are usually used for filling of storage vessels, for feeding into continuous processes or as gas circulating compressors.

Hofer diaphragm compressors are characterized by their design that makes the machines exceptionally safe, reliable and easy to maintain.

As a rule, we deliver our diaphragm compressors as complete units, including a base frame, a power unit, pulsation dampers, coolers, automatically- or manually-operated valves, instruments and, if requested, a control unit. Optionally, we also supply diaphragm compressors without peripheral equipment ready to be installed in your system.

All Hofer diaphragm compressors are subjected to a test run under load at our factory, during which the operating data are recorded and documented.

Hofer piston compressors are manufactured according to the application and depending on the operating conditions. They are available in the following three versions:

> dry-running with hydraulic drive unit (type TKH)
> dry-running with crank drive unit (type TK)
> oil-lubricated with crank drive unit (type KK)

Due to their design, Hofer piston compressors are particularly economical, reliable and easy to maintain:

Hofer piston compressors are available either as complete units, including a base frame, a power unit, pulsation dampers, coolers, (automatically or manually-operated) valves, instruments and a control unit (optional), - or without peripheral equipment, ready to be installed in your system.

All Hofer piston compressors are subjected to a test run under load at our factory, during which the operating data are recorded and documented.

Hofer's comprehensive product range offers robust and durable valves and tube fittings for pressures up to 145,038 psi (10,000 bar). The components are suitable both for pressure and vacuum applications. All Hofer valves are approved for use in hazardous areas (zone 1).

Generally, valves are made of stainless steel and are operated manually or pneumatically, either with spring-to-open or spring-to-close systems. 

Due to the divided stem, Hofer valves are particularly wear-resistant. An exchangeable seat allows convenient and inexpensive maintenance. Furthermore, Hofer's dynamic stem sealing system ensures that the valves are almost without leakage.
